# The Serverless Model

**IaaS, PaaS, SaaS are not the only models that can be run in the Cloud**

## The Serverless Model

* There are still servers...
* You just don't ever have to deal with them
* Even less access to the servers than PaaS

**Serverless means not worrying about choosing the right plan** **Serverless means bit worrying about scaling** **Serverless means you might pay $0 if you don't use the service (since you are paying for execution)**

* Compute:
  * Azure Functions
  * Serverless Kubernetes (Virtual Nodes w/ ACI)
* Database:
  * Azure SQL Database Serverless
  * Cosmos DB Serverless
