* For US government agencies - federal, state and local (does not run on same hardware as general pubilcs portal)
* Department of Defense has its own region too
* Isolated data centers separated from the Azure public cloud
* Meets standards specific to government
* portal.azure.us
* Different URLs for connecting to storage, functions, etc...

## Azure China

* Independent company
* Data remains in China
* Separate accounts
